Lifi- The New Way To Connect!
Okay, so from now on, I'll also post about the new technologies that are being developed.
I'll first start with Lifi. The technology's full name is Wifi by lights. isn't the name interesting itself? Okay so now I'll tell about it. It is actually LED lights transmitting internet signals. Instead of the usual radio waves transmitted, it transmits streams of lights , thus effectively transmitting internet signals. It is a lot more faster than usual broadband, with the lowest speed as 150 mbps and the highest speed has already exceeded 10gbps.So fast!! Isn't it amazing? They could replace the usual Wifi because of the following reason-
It could be used where traditional Wifi is banned. eg- hospitals or onboard aircrafts.
The lights flicker on and off so fast that they appear constantly lit to the human eyes. This is useful because we can study and download a file at the same time with the help of a single light.
The only thing you have to do is to buy a Li-fi kit and place the chip in the LED light and place the receiver in your iOS or Android phone or tablet and you are done! The only disadvantage is that the phone must be in a straight direction to the light present. But,the positive effects are greater than the negative one, so I am going to definitely try it! I also recommend you to when it is released in your country.
